1. What this is

Song Genome is a songwriting intelligence tool. You upload an audio reference track you have the right to use, and we return a Music DNA analysis and creative artifacts (blueprints, prompts, sketches). The app is currently in beta and features may change or break.

2. Your content

You retain all rights to audio you upload and to lyrics, prompts, and artifacts you generate. You represent that you have the legal right to upload each reference track. We do not claim ownership of your uploads or your outputs.

3. Third-party processors

To analyze audio, we send your uploaded file (or excerpts of it) to third-party services: Fadr (stem separation, key/BPM/chord analysis), ElevenLabs (audio snippet generation and fallback stem separation), MusicAtlas (catalog metadata enrichment), and Google Gemini via the Lovable AI Gateway (text interpretation). Each provider has its own terms; by using this app you accept that your audio is transmitted to them for processing.

4. AI outputs

AI-generated blueprints, prompts, chord suggestions, and audio sketches are provided as creative starting points, not finished works. They can be wrong, unoriginal, or coincidentally similar to existing songs. You are responsible for reviewing and clearing anything you publish or release commercially.

4a. Copyrighted reference tracks

The app is designed for analyzing songs you admire, which will often be commercial recordings you do not own. Our position: analysis is a private, non-distributive act performed on a copy you already lawfully possess, and we never publish, stream, share, or make your uploads or stems available to any other user. Uploaded audio is visible only to your account, stems are served through short-lived private links, and nothing you upload is used to train models. You are responsible for having lawful access to what you upload, and the measured DNA and creative artifacts derived from a reference track do not grant you any rights in that recording or composition. If a rights holder objects, we will remove the material on notice.

4b. Deletion

You can delete any track (track page → Delete track) or your entire account (Library → Danger zone) at any time. Deletion removes the audio file, DNA, stems, chats, artifacts, corrections, and account record, and is irreversible.

5. Acceptable use

Do not upload content you don't have the right to analyze. Do not use the app to impersonate a specific artist, evade licensing, or generate content that infringes third-party rights.

6. Beta service, no warranty

The service is provided "as is" during beta. We make no warranties about accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We may add rate limits, change features, or pause the service at any time.
